Reference section

I spent some time in the reference section of McKee Library tonight. Jonathan and I were trying to find a Bible that contained the apocrypha books for our World Religions group presentation (we're covering Catholicism and Orthodoxy). After finding several of those types of Bibles and glancing through the books that aren't included in our Bibles, Jonathan went on a quest to find the largest book in the reference section. He came up with a 1994 Webster's Unabridged Dictionary. Here is the word that we voted to win our best-word-of-the-night award:

"xenodocheionology - the lore of hotels and inns"

I'd like to hear some hotel and inn lore, although I'm not quite sure where I'd find that. If any of you locate some materials on xenodocheionology, definitely let me know.

  1. That sounds like incredible fun! I have seen a few books like that but can't seem to think of their titles or authors... I'll get back to you on that.
